I have always been fascinated by the written word. After school, I studied English Literature at Delhi University. Deconstruction made me discover the sub text and I learnt about the import of the unsaid, about the power of writing. During my vacations I worked as a trainee copywriter with Rediffusion – Dentsu – Young  & Rubicam. I gained a practical understanding of the workings of an advertising agency and enjoyed copywriting.

After completing my degree, I worked as the editorial in-charge of a leading Indian travel website, www.travelindia.com. I edited and redrafted existing content of the website. I also researched and generated fact sheets of prominent Indian tourist destinations and wrote the content for the website’s photo stories about quintessential Indian themes.

I also developed two websites, generating the content as well as creating web pages, for Easel Interactive, an Indian marketing management company.

My writings have been regularly published at www.freshlimesoda.com, a popular Indian e-magazine. My most satisfying venture has been writing Voices, a play about sexual violence against women. The play was performed across colleges in Delhi University and also adapted as a street play.

I am interested in business writing, writing creative non-fiction, writing for the web and magazine journalism.
