I discovered my desire to write whilst studying history in York. I am enjoying exploring, developing and practising all forms of writing as I study my MA in Professional writing. When I finish the course I hope to pursue a career in scriptwriting. I find the collaborative process of words on a page turning into dramatised images very appealing. I would particularly like to see how the process can be used and explored to interpret other forms of writing by adapting novels and biographies.
I would also like to write books for children. I am developing ideas for many different age groups - from picture books to stories for 8 to 11 year olds. I am particularly interested in writing about history for children.
