I studied English and Creative Writing at the UEA, and later an MA in Modernism at Royal Holloway, University of London. While at university I spent time at
Country Living Magazine,
The Daily Mirror and local newspapers.
After graduation I tried out a few things, including librarianship, bookselling and teaching English as a foreign language. Eventually I decided my childhood dream of making a living by writing was actually quite sensible. That’s when I came to University College Falmouth to take the MA in Professional Writing.
In the future I’d like to produce a magazine, have something published in Marie Claire and win the Booker. I’m also interested in starting up my own copywriting business. I’m confident that the next year will bring me a step closer to achieving these goals.
